DGC POS uses a dual model: (1) DGC POS Community — open-source, self-hostable POS published on GitHub under an explicit open-source license; and (2) DGC POS Cloud — the hosted product at app.dgcpos.com, which is proprietary managed software governed by our Terms of Use. Free cloud access during public beta is not the same as open-sourcing the entire cloud platform. Paid DGC POS Pro may be offered later for advanced features.

This policy explains refunds and cancellations for DGC POS — POS Smart Solution operated by Diyashna Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (Kathmandu, Nepal). It covers the hosted Cloud product at app.dgcpos.com and related billing on dgcpos.com. Marketplace buyer/seller disputes on dgcbazaar.com follow the Marketplace Policy when that marketplace is online.

1. Public beta — no platform subscription fees

During the free public beta, we do not charge DGC POS Cloud platform subscription fees. There is therefore nothing to refund for platform access itself while beta remains free.

Optional third-party costs you choose (SMS, payment gateway fees charged by a provider, hardware you buy from a third party, or Forge credits if you purchase them) are governed by that product's own terms and are not automatic platform refunds.

2. When paid plans launch

Before we charge for a DGC POS Pro / paid Cloud plan, we will publish clear prices, billing cycle (monthly or annual), VAT/PAN treatment for Nepal invoices where applicable, and an updated version of this page and the Terms of Use. No silent auto-charge will start without published plan terms.

  • Cancellation: You may cancel a paid subscription from account Settings (or by emailing support@dgcpos.com) before the next renewal date. Access continues through the paid period already billed.
  • Renewal: Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. We will give reasonable notice of material price changes before they apply to your next renewal.
  • Refunds (paid plans): If we bill you in error, or a paid feature is unavailable for a material continuous outage attributable to us (excluding your network, your devices, or third-party gateways), contact support within 14 days of the charge. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method where the provider allows. Partial-period refunds for convenience cancellations are not guaranteed unless required by mandatory consumer law.
  • Trials: If a free trial is offered when Pro billing launches, trial length and what happens at trial end will be shown before you start. We will not convert a trial to paid without clear disclosure.

3. Hardware and third-party orders

Hardware catalogue orders placed through orders@dgcpos.com (when offered) follow the written quote for that order: price, warranty, delivery, and return window. If no quote states otherwise, unused sealed items may be returned within 7 days of delivery at your shipping cost; opened or used items are not refundable except for documented manufacturing defect.

4. Forge / credits (if purchased)

Forge Lab and Deepu credits, when sold, are digital consumables. Unused credit balances may be refunded only if required by law or if we cancel the Forge product entirely before credits are used. Used AI generations are not refundable.

5. Data after cancellation

After you cancel or we close an account, you may request an export of your store data by emailing support@dgcpos.com within 30 days. We aim to provide a reasonable export (for example sales/customer/product records) subject to technical limits. After the retention windows in our Privacy Policy, data may be deleted.

6. How to request a refund or cancel

  1. Email support@dgcpos.com with your store name, account email, and the charge or subscription reference.
  2. We respond within published support hours (see Support).
  3. Approved refunds are processed through the original payment rail when available.
